Jeff King

Jeff singing in Evergreen, CO.

Jeff King is a Colorado-based singer/songwriter/guitarist and licensed Religious Science Practitioner who has just released his second CD of all-original music, The Golden Thread. He was born and raised in Massachusetts and selected to the All-State Chorus in 1976. Jeff’s early musical influences were the likes of James Taylor, Jim Croce, and John Denver, whose Rocky Mountain melodies enticed him to move to Colorado in 1985. He soon became involved in Denver’s dynamic a cappella scene and performed with two award-winning area groups over the course of 26 years; The Diners and Cool Shooz. With these groups he has opened for Ray Charles, Marvin Hamlisch, Bill Haley’s Comets, Firefall, Kevin Pollack, The Persuasions, The Bobs and others.

Jeff  continues to sing at clubs, churches, retirement homes, festivals, house concerts and other public and private events throughout Colorado. In addition to his solo shows, he frequently sits in with other bands, including Evergreen favorites Subject 2 Change. His own band Cut to the Chase is currently undergoing a redesign to better reflect the positive music he seeks to celebrate.

At the core is Jeff’s original music, which speaks to the diversity of the human journey. By examining the challenges of life and relationships, he seeks to forge a new understanding of our place in the cosmos by recognizing The Golden Thread ‘that binds us all as One’.
